So, this is late. I am extremely bad at journaling and blogging, and all prior attempts have eventually ended in failure.
I did progress on the 3D animatic, but more interesting is the mash network versatility. I can use it to make the lanterns move, and probably if needed it can be used in the final sequences . However, all the lanterns are scattered too far, so my next test to explore would be using a plane beneath the desired location of the lanterns as a "mesh helper" to keep the lanterns localized
The other progress is my thoughts on how the story is developing and how to keep it working. I think with the blessing of my group, I am going to try and review the story more as it grows and also push it along. Here's my take on the seven steps after reading through Jess' Treatment.
Once upon a time: there was a hunter and farmer who lived up on a mountain
And every day: the hunter hunted and the farmer farmed
Until one day: the hunter rescued a fox spirit caught in his snare
And because of this: the hunter’s boring repetitive life was shaken up and he befriends the fox spirit
And because of this: the Hunter grows distant from his neighbor who detests fox spirits
And because of this: the neighbor grows suspicious of/ worried for the hunter and spies on him, where he sees the fox
Until Finally: Neighbor tries to kill the fox spirit and hunter saves his life from his uncle. The neighbor rethinks his opinion and becomes less antagonistic.
And Ever since that day: Fox and hunter live a peaceful life and the neighbor slowly grows to accept this unorthodox relationship.
This is a story about learning to grow past personal biases.
